"Can you capture the behaviors of this long-legged predator on film? Complete all of the scenarios in this campaign to unlock desert-themed buildings and objects."
"The Secretary Bird is a common sight in the savannahs and grasslands of Africa. Although these long-legged predators can fly, Secretary Birds spend most of their time on foot, striding over the landscape in search of lizards, insects, and rodents to feed on.
The Raptor Protection Society helps protect birds of prey throughout the world. The society has donated a Secretary Bird to your zoo, which you will find crated near the entrance to your zoo. In exchange for the donation, the society wants you to take a series of Secretary Bird photos for the annual fundraising calendar."
To complete this scenario requires great awareness. You should always look at the activity bar and see what are your animal's actions and remember to hit that camera button. This is the second Scenario in the African Adventure and the scenario opens with a normal medium sized zoo and a food court and 17 animals which are 2 Chimpanzees, 3 Greater Flamingos, 3 Thomson's Gazelles, 3 Okapis, 2 Hippopotamuses, 3 Common Zebras, and 1 crated Secretary Bird. All you need to do is to take 5 specific photos of a secretary bird as shown below.
- A secretary bird flapping its wings
- A secretary bird preening
- A secretary bird stalking a live food lizard
- A secretary bird using a pursuit ball
- A secretary bird's egg
I built an exhibit for the Secretary Bird and added foliage into the exhibit. Next, I waited for the bird to flap its wings (Remember to check the action status and be ready to hit the Camera Button.) Then I took a photo of it. Do take note that dirty birds love to preen more often. So, you shouldn't clean the secretary bird until its hygiene reaches the critical level. I took a photo of it preening. At this point, my zoo fame was 2 stars. Now for the photo of it stalking a live food lizard. The lizard can be purchased when your zoo reaches 1 1/2 stars. I got the lizard and waited for it to stalk the lizard.
If your Secretary Bird seems to hunt its food or does nothing to the lizard, you should grab the Secretary Bird and place it over and over again near the lizard until its activity bar says '
stalking live food'). Next I put a pursuit ball in the exhibit and waited for the secretary bird to use it and I took the photo.
As mentioned above, you can also grab the Secretary Bird and place it over and over again near the pursuit ball until the action bar changes to 'going to use the pursuit ball'. Also, do remember to check the Stimulation status of your secretary bird. You will need a 3 star zoo fame to adopt another secretary bird. Then, I built an exhibit for the African Spurred Tortoise. My zoo went to 2 1/2 stars I released an Okapi, a Thomson's Gazelle and 2 Greater Flamingos. Then, my zoo fame immediately went up to 3 stars. I purchased another Secretary Bird and 2 Secretary Bird's Nests. I waited for them to mate and the female laid an egg. I took a photo of that egg and won the scenario.
Does not accept picture even though I have nest and did exactly what this said..

ReplyDeleteDoes secretary bird have to lay egg in nest for scenario to be won?
ReplyDeleteHello there Rachel, the secretary bird does not have to lay its egg in the nest for the scenario to be won. If I'm not mistaken, it's impossible for that to happen in the game. All you need to do is to take the photo of the egg and you can win the scenario.
Deletemy secretary bird fought and killed the first two males I placed...once she got pregnant I released the third male into the wild so there was no more fighting
ReplyDeleteThe photo challenge won't accept my photo of the egg. The goal is still unfulfilled even after I take the photo, how do I fix this?
